About West Sacramento

West Sacramento incorporated in 1987 and sits directly across the Sacramento River from downtown Sacramento, connected by the Tower Bridge and I Street Bridge. The Bridge District, Sutter Health Park (home of the Sacramento River Cats), the Port of West Sacramento, and the Southport area define much of the city.

Homes & architecture

Options range from older single-family homes and newer riverfront condos and townhomes in the Bridge District to planned neighborhoods in Southport.

Getting around

Interstate 80, US 50, and the river bridges connect West Sacramento to downtown Sacramento and Davis.

Parks & recreation

The riverfront promenade and trails along the Sacramento River and the Deep Water Ship Channel are popular for walking and cycling.

Information is general and provided for convenience; please verify the details that matter to your decision. For schools, see the California School Dashboard and confirm boundaries with the school district.
