About Elk Grove
Elk Grove incorporated in 2000 and is one of the larger cities in Sacramento County. Old Town Elk Grove, along Elk Grove Boulevard, preserves buildings from the town's early days, while areas such as Laguna, East Elk Grove, and the southern growth areas feature planned neighborhoods.

Housing is mostly single-family homes built from the 1980s through today, with some rural-residential properties on larger lots toward the east and south.
Getting around
State Route 99 and Interstate 5 provide north–south access to Sacramento, with bus service through e-tran and SacRT.
Parks & recreation
Elk Grove Regional Park, an extensive network of neighborhood parks, and the nearby Cosumnes River Preserve offer open space and trails.
